When we hear the word Dream...What does it call to our mind...? dreams which we see and forget in the night or the Day dreams...? .. ....A dream in my sleep always remains as a dream....i can never be aware or share the moments of my night dreams..but not so with my day dream.........it so happened that i had been Day Dreaming of becoming a filmaker since my childhood days.... many beautifull moments happen in lives only once.....first Birthday party, first Cricket match as captain...Brave stunts in schools for which you are punished but you enjoy that moment as a hero, first directional debut in a school drama... last day of your school, college culturals......missed calls to loved ones...tension of your first proposal which is greater than the arrear exam tensions.... college Farewell...... college re-union,.....so on and so forth...so many....countless and endless...." .... but the question which was haunting me was why shoulid i become a filmmaker.? it took me several years to find the answer that "As a filmmaker i can create things which i miss in my life.....You create your own world and story in whichyou want to live.....to create such a world you got to be aware and enjoy the real world in which we are destined.....this gives a whole lot of meaning and purpose to my life.....day dream does not exist as a dream forever.....i have been Re-viewing this question since my childhood days on each and every morning....when i found my answer it was no longer my dream....it was transformed to my ambition without my knowledge...when it becomes your ambition you no longer day dream about it rather you are frightened to day dream about it...because of you fear whether it would just be a dream......when something becomes your ambition.....you no longer wait to take actions and we see our dream manifested to reality soon.
A strong reason or liking for our dream is an absolute necessity...so that nobody can even think of waking us from our dream....
Important point of all this is "you got a dream..? you got to protect it..no matter whatever happens....."(from the movie "pursuit of hapiness"

Hey Munna, great you opened up on this aspect, which i have always wondered about you. My respect towards you amplified when I heard you quit your job for passion and i think thats wat passion means, to quit anything you have just to get one thing for yourself (like the hero of "a millionaire's first love" quites his millions to fulfill his love's wish..
And you brought out a significant point, which i have never thought about.. "Why film.. coz, you need to create a world you wish for"...Art, or rather in pure form, talent is, i think nothing but an attempt of self satisfaction to pursue just one's wish.. Whether its writing a novel, or music... its just to create a world one longs to live for.. and as u say, only those who are conscious identify it and succeed.
The much audacity required to give up good paying job and to take up career of choice should primarily be triggered by your conscious dreams! Why would anyone be worried to dream further while they have started pursuing their dream? In my view it instigates further to move ahead in making your dream come true - and this is not the end of it because dream continues !!1
